Corefficient manufactures high quality electrical transformer cores: if you know Corefficient you already know this. What you may not know is all of the work that goes on “behind the scenes” to ensure the high quality of our products. Multiple rounds of stringent material and product testing are the key to our quality assurance.

At every step of the manufacturing process, we use state-of-the-art equipment and methods to test various attributes of the product as it is constructed.

Near the final stages of electrical coil formation, Dimensional Testing is employed to analyze the consistency of the material width and thickness. It is essential that when electrical steel is formed into a coil, it is done in a uniform manner. This means the final coils should have no edge tapering and the thickness and width should not vary. We use the ASTM A971 method to test and confirm these attributes.

Coils that have been through dimensional testing are significantly less likely to have air spaces that allow energy loss. Thus, our stringent system of checks and balances guarantees that the final end-product, the transformer core, is energy efficient.
